OUR DESIGN ETHOS
Rooted in organic modernism, our work is defined by natural materials, tactile surfaces, and architectural clarity. We are drawn to spaces that feel layered and collected over time—homes that feel confident, expressive, and enduring, rather than driven by trend or excess.
Our Principles
Architectural Influence
We begin with proportion, scale, light, and flow. Before materials or furnishings are introduced, we consider how a space is structured and experienced. Our interiors are designed to feel inseparable from the architecture itself—intentional, balanced, and grounded.
What we consider:
How natural light moves through the home throughout the day, and how spaces shift from morning to evening
Which architectural moments should feel impactful—such as stair systems, ceiling treatments, cased openings, and thresholds
How spaces flow into one another, creating a sense of rhythm, pause, and progression rather than abrupt transitions
Sightlines and framing—what is revealed upon entry, and what unfolds gradually as you move through the home
Material Integrity
We approach materials as a foundation, not a finish. Our work prioritizes authenticity, tactility, and longevity—favoring natural surfaces that tell a story through use and time. Leathered and honed finishes, expressive stone, and richly grained woods create depth and warmth, allowing spaces to feel grounded rather than overly polished. Material choices are always intentional, supporting the architecture and shaping the experience of the home.
What we consider:
The natural variation, movement, and depth within stone, wood, and plaster
How finishes interact with light—absorbing, reflecting, or softening it
Whether a material will age gracefully and develop character over time
When polished or glossy finishes add intention and contrast, rather than distraction
The authenticity and longevity of a material versus imitation or replication
